Sighing, you approached a quaint, dark room after leaving the throne room.

Stepping into the middle of the room, you waited...

And waited...

*But nobody ca-

"See? I never betrayed you! It was all a trick see?" Flowey popped up from the ground, grinning.

You stood, silent and poised.

"I was waiting to kill him for you!"

*You felt your sins crawling up your back.

"After all it's me, your best friend~!"

You twitched slightly, gripping the knife in your hand tightly, then loosely, then tightly again as you wrestled with your inner demon.

"I can help you. I can be useful!"

*You sense a degree of anxiety from Flowey. It fills you with Determination.

"I p-promise I won't get in your way! I can help...I can...I-I can...." Once he saw your smirk, that's when Flowey broke down.

"P l e a s e  d o n ' t  k i l l  m e!" You heard him sob, but his tone of voice changed. It was as if..there was another person inside of him, a helpless child crying out into the darkness. But what do you care?

"But..Flowey.." The sunflower whimpered, looking up to see your eyes seething red. You crouched down in front of him.

"Haven't you always told me..it's "K I L L  O R  B E  K I L L E D"?! This is what you wanted, isn't it Asriel?!" His eyes widened in horror, seeing you used his own philosophy against him. You ignored his cries for mercy as you shredded him to pieces with your weapon until he was no more than dried up sunflower pelts.

'Haha..It's over...' You thought, staring down into a river. Since you've murdered the last living being in the Underground, you were wandering around, the desolate landscapes being all to familiar..and lonely. You stopped over by the Waterfall and took a seat by the river bank, looking down at the rapidly flowing waters.

'There's no one left in this world..except-'

"Greetings..."

Your eyes widened as you looked around, until your eyes rested on the reflection of a child your age, but had glowing red eyes, brown hair, rosy cheeks, and wore a green shirt with yellow stripes.

"Y-You..."

"Yes. It's me. I am Chara...thank you. With your power I was awakened from death."

"Wait..YOU were the one who was controlling my powers and-?!"

"A-a-ah. That power..that Determination...they were never mine, but YOURS."

"But..how did I reawaken you?" You questioned. "It's simple..YOU made me realize the purpose of my reincarnation. Together, we eradicated the enemy and became strong."

'The enemy? Who are th- oh no...no...'

Tiny drops of water fell into the river, creating small ripples that were quickly swept away by the stream "What..why am I...?" Touching your cheeks, you felt tears streaming down your face.
Then, a sob rose up in your throat as you looked at yourself, covered with the stench of every Monster you murdered.

That's when it hit you: you realized your mistake. But it was far too late and everyone was erased from the Underground..all by your hands.

"HP, ATK, DEF, GOLD, XP, LV," Chara taunted, "every time a number increases, that feeling...that's ME. Now, have we reached the absolute. Only now do you feel something: Pain. Loss. Regret. Remorse. Loneliness. It's typical. But..haven't you felt this way before? On the Surface? I believe you did the right thing, partner. Those Monsters would have never understood.."

"B-But now that everyone is gone.." You began, sniffling. "What..what happens next?"

"We move right along~ There is nothing left for us here." They answered, forcing you to stand up. You were no longer control of your own body, because you let Chara fill the void in your heart..they became your very soul. They were the reason you became so..strong. Your Determination and power...reawakened their spirit.

"How about we erase this pointless world? Send it back into the abyss!"

Chara forced you to turn around, and you found yourself in darkness once more. But out of the darkness, you saw two options light up before you:

*ERASE

*DO NOT

"Eh?! What..? No..." It was then, you realized, how wrong you have been..the Monsters. They weren't truly evil..they only were trying to help you...and you killed them all. But you faintly remembered their words.

"Be good, my child, won't you?"
"It's never too late to become good!"
"This world will live on!"
"You aren't absolutely evil, are you?"
"It's not too late to RESET, kid"
"What kind of Monster are you..sorry I can't tell."
"Please don't kill me!"

"No....NO!!" You sobbed, tears falling down your face as you selected the second option, determined to find out a way to keep this world alive.

But then you fell silent as something resonated deep within your soul.

"No..? Hmm.." Chara hummed. "How curious. I don't think you understand. Although it seems now you finally found the error of your ways, there's one little flaw in your decision.....SINCE WHEN WERE YOU THE ONE IN CONTROL?!!!"

Chara let out an evil, demonic laugh as they forced you to raise your knife. You shut your eyes tightly as a horrifying image of them, eyeless and bloodied came into your vision. 

A grin stretched across your face, your red eyes glowing eerily, yet inside you wanted to scream, cry out for help into the abyss.

But you knew nobody would come..

Chara was right..you've already made your choice long ago.

This was it...

This...was the end.

"Flowey....Toriel....Sans....Papyrus....Undyne....Muffet....Alphys....Mettaton....Asgore....everyone.....I'm sor-"
