Your Choice|Pokemon Go Team Leaders x Reader

"Join my team, [y/n]!" Blanche, the analytical leader of Team Mystic, offered you with a gracious smile. "Let me teach you how knowledge is the key to victory against-"

"Are you serious? By the time you're done teaching 'em, my team would've already conquered all your gyms!"

You and Blanche looked over to see the passionate leader of Team Valor, Candela, standing there with her arms crossed and had a cocky smirk on her face. Beside her feet, sat her Arcanine, who copied her smile.

"Intellect alone won't get you very far, my friend," she taunted, before turning her head to you. "I can help you unlock your Pokemon's inner strength. To make them grow they must learn how to endure hardships and tough battles without breaking a sweat! Join my team, [y/n] and we'll achieve great things together!"

Blanche frowned. "How rude of you. Here I am trying to give this young trainer a logical reason to join Team Mystic, and then you come barging in demanding them to join yours. Not to mention you have more than enough trainers on your side."

"Oh really?" Candela raised an eyebrow. "And you don't?"

"At least we are more organized and actually think before making rash decisions!"

As the two began arguing, you sighed, before looking at Professor Willow who was sitting across from you. "Do I have to choose? Because I think my Voltorb and I are better off alone.." You mumbled, glancing at your Voltorb that was levitating beside you.

Yes, you caught many more Pokemon, but Voltorb didn't necessarily like being inside a Pokeball (considering that he IS one). So you'd let him out and allow him to travel alongside you.

"I know it's not in your best interests, [y/n]," the professor said, "but you're strong enough to take on gyms. However you, alone, cannot take on so many. That's why these teams were established: to conquer gyms worldwide. Trainers have to help contribute to their cause...but they can only choose one to support."

You scoffed loudly. "What makes you think I'm ready to take on gyms?! I don't even think Voltorb is ready for the pressure..."

"Vol..torb!" 

"But I've seen your Voltorb fight," Candela pointed out, making you look back at her. "And I have to admit... he's pretty freaking tough! Team Valor needs a Pokemon like that-"

"What kind of silly argument is that?" Blanche interrupted, glaring at the brunette. "From what I've seen, [y/n]'s Voltorb only fights to defend them. Even if someone challenged them, they know how to make good use of Voltorb's Speed. That is why I admire them and offered them the chance to join me: So that I can teach them and, in turn, [y/n] can teach all of Team Mystic something.."

"...fine," Candela huffed, looking at you. "So what will it be, [y/n]? Are you for Team Valor or Team Mystic?"

"Wait.." Professor Willow cut in, looking around. "Where is Spark?"

"Spark?" You repeated, raising an eyebrow. "Whose that?"

"The leader of the..very underrated Team Instinct," he explained. "It was establish on the basis of intuition, believing that the secret to a Pokemon's natural instincts lies in how they are hatched. Now Spark should be here but I don't-"

*SLAM*

"Sorry I'm late, guys! I had to catch this cute little Pidgey!" You and everyone else turned to see a spiky blonde man with an Elekid on his shoulder enter the cafe, clutching his phone that had a Pikachu case over it.

Blanche sighed, shaking her head. "As if you don't have enough Pidgeys, Spark."

"Ah, not a minute too soon, Spark," the professor chuckled. "This is [y/n], a trainer whose ready to choose her team."

"Uhhh not really though."

"Oh? Nice to meet ya!" Spark grinned, his hands on his hips. "As you may already know I'm Spark. On my team, we're---oooooooooohhh, is that a Voltorb?!" His blue eyes widened, sparkling as he saw the Ball Pokemon who looked at him with confusion.

"Torb?"

"Yeah..." You were both confused and even a bit freaked out. Before you even knew that you were forced to join a team, all you've heard was "Team Mystic this" and "Team Valor that", but never not once have you heard about a third team.

But even so, Team Instinct's philosophy was also very.. intriguing.

"I don't blame you, Electric-types are awesome!" Spark laughed. "So anyways, we're allllll friends on my team~! Usually we just don't stick our noses into other people's beeswax. We're not savages like those hot-headed Valors..."

Candela scoffed loudly at the insult.

 "...and we ain't some wimpy nerds like those book worms you call Mystics."

Blanche gritted her teeth, seething red.

"In a nutshell we just like collecting cute Pokemon and hatching eggs. If you dig that you should totes join my team. But...no pressure or anything. I know it's a tough decision for you, [y/n]. But if I were you....." Spark looked from side to side, before leaning in and whispering:

"I would rely on my instincts~ Haha!! Get it? Because..that's the name of my team..? No...? Okay..." The blonde hung his head, sighing deeply before stepping back beside the other leaders.

"So now you know you have a third option," Professor Willow smiled, glancing at you. "Just know that you don't have to agree with any of their morals...you may just like the color red or your favorite out of the 3 Legendary Birds is Articuno. With that being said...who will you pledge your allegiance to? It's your choice, [y/n]."

You hummed, thinking carefully about what each of the Team's philosophies were. After a few, thoughtful minutes, you made your choice.
