Adorable!!|Castform x Trainer!Reader

You walked out of the Weather Institute, carrying a strange gray Pokemon in your arms. After rescuing the scientists from the Team Magma grunts, they gave you some kind of "artificial" Pokemon to express their gratitude. Its head was round, with a cowlick-like curl and white around its eyes that resembled a mask, and had a small body with two round feet.

"It's weird, Skarmory..how does one simply make a Pokemon?" You asked the Armored Bird Pokemon, who simply shrugged with a "ska" in response. "Well..either way, we got a friend we didn't even have to fight or trade for."

"Ska," Skarmory nodded, smiling.

Once you crossed the bridge, you set the creature on the ground. "Alright, little guy..who are you?" You hummed, raising your PokeDex.

"Castform: the Weather Pokemon. Castform's appearance changes with the weather. This Pokemon gained the ability to use the vast power of nature to protect its tiny body."

"Wow.."
"Skaaa..."

"Cas! Cas!" Castform jumped up and down excitedly, looking up at the sun as it reappeared in the sky, shining a beam down onto it. You giggled at how adorable it looked. "You're such a cutie aren't you? But I'm sure you're a very powerful--huh?"

Your eyes widened as you saw Castform begin to glow in a bright light. Skarmory quickly shielded your eyes with his wing so you wouldn't be blinded by the sudden flash.

When the light receded, he put his wing down. You and him gasped, seeing that Castform looked..different. Its head looked like a miniature sun, and its body looked like a white, puffy cloud.

"Woah......YOU LOOK 10 TIMES CUTER THAN BEFORE!!" You squealed, scooping up and hugging the Weather Pokemon. 

Though that probably wasn't the brightest of ideas..

"Ow! Ow! Ow! Hot! Hot!" You hissed, dropping Castform. "Damn! He must've turned into a freaking Fire-type..wait...he can actually change types?!"

"Ska?"

Turning your head, you saw something Skarmory was holding with his beak. "Oh! You found a Burn Heal! Good job, Skarmory." You took the bottle and immediately poured the liquid onto your arms.

You were probably going to need it later, but you didn't care.

"Ahhhh that's better." You sighed with relief as the burning sensation went away.

"Cas?" Looking down, you noticed Castform staring up at you with sad expression, akin to a kicked puppy. "Hey, it's alright..it's not your fault." You said gently. "I should've known better....if only you weren't so freaking cute~" The Weather Pokemon blushed at your compliment, returning to its normal form.

"Okay NOW I can pick you up." You carefully scooped up Castform and started on your way to Fortree City.

"Man..I wish I could tell Wally..he'd be thrilled.." You breathed, though your smile faltered as you brought up your shy, green-haired friend.

Unfortunately, he was nowhere to be found when you went to Verdanturf Town. All his cousin said was that he has gone away. You weren't sure what that meant but you hoped to Arceus that Wally was alright and that his Ralts would take care of him, considering how sickly and frail he was.

Lost in your thoughts, you almost didn't realize it was starting to rain until Castform started glowing again. "Huh?" You stopped, looking down to see that it now had a raindrop for a head.

"M-My heart....good GOD you're just adorable no matter what form you take!!" You squealed, your smile returning as you hugged it again. "So I guess you're a Water-type, huh?"

"Cas!" Castform nodded.

You giggled. "How about I train you so you could become stronger? Skarmory, can you Fly us back to Peltaburg? I wanna show dad this!"
With a nod, Skarmory let you climb onto his back, before he spread his steel wings out and took off into the sky. You kept Castform close to you, your smile never fading.

Not even five minutes have passed and you've already formed a special kind of bond with the Weather Pokemon.

A bond you knew would last longer than your Pokemon journey will ever be.
