"[Y/nnnnnnnnn]..."

"Robbie what do you want now? I'm a little busy at the moment." You sighed in annoyance as you were cleaning the dishes.

That must've been the tenth time he's called your name in the past hour. And the only reason was because the zombie was trying to drag you away from your chores and responsibilities, as you were not paying attention to him.

Today was meant to be a productive day for you, but when Sean and his egos went out to do their own things, they asked if you could take care of Robbie while they were away.

And by "asking" Sean really just said "watch him" as he dropped him off at your front door and sped away before you could protest.

You didn't mind it at all...except for the fact that Robbie was distracting you every 5 minutes or so. At first you let it slide, but now it was just irritating you more and more.

As you were cleaning off a butcher knife, you saw the zombie standing next to you, watching you clean as he tilted his head to the side. "What....are ya...doing?"

"Washing dishes," you replied as you rinsed off the knife and dried it. "Now will you leave me be?"

Robbie was quiet for a few moments, before sighing and nodding his head. "O....kay.." He turned around and headed back to your living room. 'Wow...I can't believe that actually did it..' You thought as you glanced back at him, before resuming what you were doing.

A few minutes later, you heard a squishy 'crack' noise and immediately went to investigate.....only to find that Robbie was sitting on the couch, trying to tear a piece of his own detached arm off.

"ROBBIE WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU DOING??!"

The zombie flinched at your loud tone of voice, taking his jaws away from his arm. "Sorry..." He mumbled as he reattached it. "..R..Robbie was...hungry......"

You frowned at him, until suddenly realization hit you: You haven't fed him at all since he arrived.

Shit..

"Oh, damn my bad Robbie," you apologized to him. "Why didn't you say that earlier?"

Robbie merely shrugged. "Robbie...bugged...[y/n]...too much.....Robbie th...thought...[y/n]...was....mad.." He sighed sadly, looking down at his shoes.

'Great [y/n]...you're a terrible host who couldn't even feed their own guest..'

"Oh no, no, I can never be mad at you." With a small sigh, you put your hand to your forehead, wondering what you should do...until finally an idea struck you. "Hmm..how about I order a pizza? I don't have any leftover meat unfortunately."

The zombie glanced back up at you, tilting his head in confusion. "Pi...zza...?"

"You'll like it. I guarantee it," you reassured him, smiling. "It's basically bread, cheese, tomato sauce, and meat."

"Mmmmeat?" Robbie instantly perked up. "Meat is...good."

"Alrighty, pizza it is~!" You giggled, before you took out your phone and dialed [favorite pizza place], asking for a large meat lover's pizza.

About 20 minutes or so later, it finally arrived. You paid the delivery guy and thanked him for it. But as you went to shut the door, you noticed that he was still standing there. "Umm...you good, man?"

The delivery guy blinked and glanced back at you, before nodding. "Y-Yeah..it's just...um.." He coughed nervously, pointing at something behind you with his index finger. "..is..he okay?"

Looking over your shoulder, your eyes widened when you saw Robbie leaning against the wall, practically drooling with saliva dripping down his chin as he stared at you both. 'Shit..can't let him know he's a real zombie..ah hah!'

"He's fine. We just got back from a convention and he wanted to still be in character for the rest of the day." You made up a simple white lie on the spot, smiling sweetly at the teen. "He loves being a zombie."

"Oh." His previously terrified expression turned into one of relief as he chuckled. "Well, that's the raddest zombie cosplay I've ever seen, dude." He gave Robbie a thumbs up. "Keep it up. And have a good day you two."

"Thanks. You, too." And with that, the delivery man finally left.

Shutting the door, you turned back around and sighed. "That was a close-"

"Fooooooodddddd..."

You blinked several times, before your smile returned. "Alright, Rob, alright. How about we eat and play some video games? I think I have a few that I you'll like."
.......

For a few hours or so, you and Robbie played video games while snacking on the pizza. Although he mainly picked off the toppings and ate those, he did in fact enjoy the pizza itself.

Then you decided to play some good old "Last of Us" next, even though in the beginning, Robbie didn't like the fact that his kind were attacking and eating innocent people. But nevertheless, he wanted to try and see if he could run from the Infected or at least fight them.

However..lending him your controller when the part where Joel and Sarah had to run from the Infected came up was probably your worst mistake yet. In short, Robbie failed the QTE and was forced to watch as one of the Infected bit Joel in the neck, resulting in a game over.

He screamed loudly in both horror and fury, startling you, although when you saw he was about to throw your controller at the T.V, you quickly snatched it out of his hands.

"Woah, holy shit Rob, chill out!!" You hissed as you paused the game, before turning to him with a glare. "Christ...it's just a fucking game-"

But your gaze softened when you saw him staring at you, his lower lip quivering as though he was about to cry. It was then you realized that yelling at him won't make anything better, so you sighed and scooted closer to him, hugging him gently.

At first, Robbie stiffened up, but he soon returned the embrace, hiding his face in your shoulder before quiet, muffled sobs began to wrack his frail body. Whether he was crying about you yelling at him or what happened in the game....you weren't entirely sure. So you just comforted him, quietly shushing him and calmly stroking his purple hair. As you went to rub his back you could feel his spine shift and, at first, it was a bit uncomfortable to touch. But the gesture seemed to be calming him down, so you decided to bear with it for the time being.

After some time, Robbie's sobs became reduced to sniffles. He then mumbled something, although it was barely audible to you.

"What did you say, Robbie?" Putting your hands on his shoulders, you managed to pry the zombie off of you and look at him. His white eyes were bloodshot and puffy around the rims, and his face was practically covered with tears and snot.

Of course, it wasn't really a pretty sight, but you'll stomach it for now. "C'mon, Rob," you pleaded when he was still silent, using your sleeve to wipe his tears away. "Talk to me...I promise I'm not mad at you."

"R...Robbie....sorry for...sc-scaring..[y/n]," he stuttered after a few moments, rubbing his eyes, before frowning as he stared at the dark, wet stain on your shoulder "...and..for...making a..mess...."

"It's alright. I can always change out of this. It's no big deal." You shrugged, reaching for the controller to turn off the game console.

But then Robbie suddenly grabbed your hand; though, surprisingly enough, his grip was gentle.

"R..Robbie was just..s-sad that people think..all zom..bies..are bad and wanna.. hurt...everyone..."

Glancing back at him, you blinked several times in surprise. 'Ah..so that's what he was so upset about..' You thought, sighing sadly. 'Then again..the media always portrays his kind as mindless flesh eaters.'

"Ah..I see what you mean now. But..." You took both of his hands into yours and looked into his eyes with sincerity. "I promise you, Rob, there are good zombies out there."

Robbie tilted his head to the side. "There...are? Where?"

You giggled a bit. "I'm looking right at him."

His eyebrows furrowed in confusion, before he glanced around the room.

"....I'm talking about you."

The zombie did a double-take. "Me?" His eyes widened in shock. "I'm...a...good zom..bie?"

"Of course you are," you reassured him, smiling. "You have a kind heart. You're caring and patient. Other zombies aren't like that at all. They don't care who they hurt, but...when it comes down to it only you attack others to protect us, right?"

After several moments of silence, Robbie smiled back at you. "R..Right. Robbie is...a good zom..bie..."

Now, you weren't sure why, but the way he said that statement warmed your heart. And it made you bring him back into another hug as tears welled in your eyes. "G-Gah...is...[y/n]...okay?" Robbie muttered worriedly as he put his arms around you. "Did..Robbie..say something bad?"

"No you didn't..." You whispered, your smile growing. "...not at all, Robbie."

Welp, this story went from fluffy to sappy real quick xD

But anyway, it's safe to say we all gotta give Robbie the love he deserves, considering how he was acknowledged by Jack at PAX (I think he'll never get over the fact that we as a community made an ego out of a thumbnail of all things).

So with that, hope ya'll enjoy the story~
