'There they go again..'

I was flying through the sky, my massive snake-like body twisting and twirling as I passed by the clouds. Looking down, I saw Groudon and Kyogre at it again: fighting along the shoreline of the Hoenn region.

It was probably over something stupid, but I wouldn't know for sure if I just kept my head in the clouds (no pun intended). Perhaps I should go see what these fools are up to this time before they cause any more unecessary destruction...again.

"Hey fellas," I greeted. The two ancient Pokemon glared at me.

"Oh look, if it isn't the peacekeeper Rayquaza," Groudon sneered, baring his teeth. "What do you want?". He always had such a temper; after all, he does make volcanoes erupt whenever he gets angry.

"Groudon, please," Kyogre started calmly. "Ray's only here to-"

"I didn't ask you, Kyogre! Why don't you go back to your little swimming pool, you fishstick!!"

"Fishstick? That's all you got?"

"H-Hey! I'm not the best with words but I'm the best at tearing off giant Pokemon limbs-!!!"

"That's enough," I growled, wrapping my tail around Groudon's snout to close it. His eyes went wide and he tried to bite and claw at my skin, though eventually he stopped struggling and let his arms hang down.
"Much better," I smiled, releasing him despite Kyogre's protests. "Now..what happened this time?"

"Well.." Groudon began, tapping his chin with his claw. "King of all Wailords here was bound to cause a flood and destroy the nearby town on this island."

The whale-like Pokemon scoffed, making me turn my attention to him. "I would do no such thing! Those people needed the rain after the week-long drought you brought upon them!" He accused, narrowing his eyes.

"So maybe that's where our problem lies," I concluded. "You both give the humans more than they need. And when a natural disaster strikes, you blame each other. But you're BOTH equally at fault here."

"W-W-What?!" Groudon asked incredulously. "I refuse to believe it!" He crossed his arms, his tail swaying with irritation. "Don't get cocky with me, Groudy," I teased. He only glared at me in response. "Don't call me that."

"Why not, Groudy?" Kyogre snickered. "You have no problem with your so-called worshipers calling you that-"

"BECAUSE THEY'RE THE ONLY ONES WHO BELIEVE I'M A CREATOR AND NOT A DESTROYER!!!" He roared, causing the ground to shake violently. "I GIVE THEM LAND! PLACES FOR THEM TO BUILD HOMES AND HAVE FAMILIES!! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE FOR THEM, KYOGRE??! TELL ME!!"

My eyes went wide. 'Oh my...I..I wasn't expecting that'

"Well," Kyogre began, "I give them rain so that they are able to grow food and actually raise those families. That way the humans can grow up to be strong and be able to work and build homes for even more families."

"But when you bring flooding it washes away all that hard work!!"

"Isn't that the same whenever you create earthquakes? Just from us standing here I can sense that probably five homes have been destroyed because of your little temper tantrum."

Groudon looked shocked, then furious as he clenched his fists. "Oh..when I get my claws on a Red Orb..you'll know what "temper" means alright!"

"Hmph, we'll see what my Blue Orb has to say about that!"

"Bring it-!"

"THAT'S ENOUGH!!!" I bellowed, making thunder crash loudly in the sky above me. The two other ancients looked at me, shocked, before quivering slightly under my gaze. Usually I would never raise my voice, but I knew that if they decided to turn Primal..it would spell destruction and death for the people of this region.

And I wouldn't let that happen.

Calming down, I looked at both of them, sighing. "Please, friends..Groudon, Creator of the Land." Groudon seemed to perk up at my words. "Kyogre, Creator of the Sea." Kyogre looked up at me, looking apologetic.
"Do not let these humans and their Pokemon suffer because of our misdemeanors. It's not what they want..nor what I want. And I'm sure neither of you ever wanted this to happen, too."

They were silent, but then they looked over at each other. I could tell they felt somewhat guilty and ashamed.

"Ray's right.." Groudon muttered. "I'm sorry Kyogre.."

"Well, "sorry" won't be enough to reverse the damage we've done to each other," Kyogre muttered.

"Why you!" The red Pokemon growled.

"But....for Hoenn's sake, and for Rayquaza's sake..I forgive you," Kyogre smiled.

"Oh.." Groudon muttered, rubbing his arm sheepishly before extending his hand down to his long-time rival. "Thanks. Sooooo how 'bout a truce?"

"Truce it is." I sighed with relief as the two shook hands-er..claws and fins. Thank Arceus that they managed to work it out.

"But perhaps.." Kyogre began. "It's best that we part ways."

"What do you mean??" Groudon and I asked him, confused and alarmed. The whale-like Pokemon simply sighed. "I'm not saying goodbye forever. I just believe it's best that I control the sea from the ocean's depths. That way, Groudon, you can shape the land as you wish. From now on we'll both take equal care of this region, that I promise you, my friends."

We both looked at Kyogre, slightly shocked, but I understood what he meant. He looked over at me, smiling. "Thank you, Ray, for coming here to help us. Without you, this region would probably be in shambles, forever our battleground."

"Yeah.." Groudon coughed. "Thanks for all you've done. But I think we're good now."

I nodded, smiling back at my friends. "I'm glad. I guess this is farewell, my friends. I'll see you around."

"You take care, pal," he chuckled, patting my head.

Nodding, I took off into the sky and flew back to my tower, knowing that at long last there would be peace between among us and the inhabitants of Hoenn.
.....

"And that's the story of how Rayquaza ended the ancient feud between Groudon and Kyogre," an old woman spoke to the young Pokemon trainer.

"Wow.." She murmured in awe, gazing up at the sky as she saw something that looked like a meteor pass through the clouds. "So you're saying they are called the "Weather Trio"?"

"Indeed. They are all mighty forces of nature, but even they need a peacekeeper. And no one has done it better than Rayquaza."
Hello lovelies~ I think I'm going to start doing some of the Legendary Pokemon Trios. Last time I did a story of the Yggdrasil Trio (Xerneas, Yveltal, and Zygarde).

Here, we have the Weather Trio (Groudon, Kyogre, and Rayquaza).
Pokemon Kaoani - Groudon  383 Groudon #383 Groudon
#382 KyogrePrimal Kyogre 1 Primal Kyogre 2 Primal Kyogre 3 Primal Kyogre 4 Primal Kyogre 5 382 Kyogre
Primal Kyogre 7  Primal Kyogre 8                    Primal Kyogre 10

Rayquaza la 384 Rayquaza pokemon gif Rayquaza #384 Rayquaza

Basically, Ray fills the role of peacekeeper whenever Groudon and Kyogre meet. His bio states that he's outright aggressive, but I just don't think that fits him..

Anywho the next trio will be Entei, Suicune!Reader, and Raikou (which was requested). ^^

So I hope you enjoy the story~

Pokemon belongs to Nintendo
I own the plot
